Dünyanın Vicdanı Uykuda: Çocuklar Ölürken Kim Uyandı?

Bazen bir fotoğraf gözümüzün önünden gitmez. Küçücük bir beden, üstü toz içinde, elinde oyuncak bir ayı... İsmini bilmediğimiz, dilini konuşamadığımız bir çocuğun son uykusunu izliyoruz. Sessizliğe gömülmüş bir çığlık gibi.

Filistin’de, Suriye’de, Yemen’de, Ukrayna’da… Nice haritada yerini bile ezberlemediğimiz topraklarda çocuklar ölüyor. Birleşmiş Milletler istatistik yayınlıyor, dünya sadece "beğeniyor".

Her savaş, yetişkinlerin açgözlülüğünün bir ürünü. Ama bedelini hep çocuklar ödüyor. Oyuncak taşıması gereken ellerine taş tutuşturuluyor, çikolata uzatılması gereken minik avuçlara tabanca değiyor. Ve biz, uzaktan izliyoruz.

“Çocukları koruyacağız!” diyen büyükler, silah üretiminde birbirleriyle yarışıyor. Bütün dünya bu sınavdan kalıyor. Çünkü hiçbir savaşın bahanesi, bir çocuğun hayatından daha önemli değil. Ve hiçbir barış görüşmesi, yitirilen küçücük bir yüreği geri getiremiyor.

Sosyal medyada bir paylaşım yapıp rahatlıyoruz, vicdanımızı susturuyoruz. Ama o çocuklar ne paylaşım gördü ne de barış...

Kaç çocuk öldüğünde dünyanın vicdanı uyanacak?

Bir çocuğun kahkahasını susturan her kurşun, hepimizin kalbinden geçiyor aslında. Ama hissetmeye cesaretimiz yok.
