"The World's Conscience Is Asleep: Who Woke Up While Children Died?"
Sometimes a photograph never leaves our minds. A tiny body, covered in dust, holding a stuffed bear... We watch the last sleep of a child whose name we don’t know, whose language we can’t speak. A scream buried in silence.
In Palestine, Syria, Yemen, Ukraine… In lands we can't even find on a map, children are dying. The UN releases statistics, and the world simply hits 'like'.
Every war is born of adult greed. But the cost is always paid by children. The hands that should carry toys are handed stones; the little palms that should be offered chocolate are touched by guns. And we watch from a distance.
Those who say "We will protect the children!" compete in weapons production. The entire world is failing this test. Because no excuse for war is more important than a child’s life. And no peace negotiation can bring back a lost little soul.
We post on social media and silence our conscience. But those children saw neither peace nor a post.
How many children must die before the world’s conscience awakens?
Every bullet that silences a child’s laughter passes through all our hearts. But we lack the courage to feel it.
